National Geographic: Global Issues. Migration

“National Geographic: Global Issues.  Migration”, a article in a series called Global Issues, is a phenomenal article written by National Geographic that provides stories about migration.  This would be a great student friendly resource that a teacher could provide to every student to use.  In the article it introduces the issue, provides a map of the areas most affected by migration, provides a closer look into New York (a city routed in migration), and provides a research question at the end.  In this resource the article also provides the reader with statistics, pictures, and examples to help the reader understand migration.  The article also does a great job ob explaining in depth the concept of current migration.  This would be a great resource to help students develop their understanding on what migration looks like in our current world.
