This article explained a fun and interactive way to have students work with circuits and understand electricity. The article explains a project where students work in pairs to design and wire a shoe box “room.” This project can take up to three hours and is appropriate for fourth and fifth grade students. There are five phases to the project and the ending result has students create a real-life modeled room with working circuits. This project is great to have students work hands on with electricity while also showing them how science connects with everyday life.
