Alka-Seltzer Rockets Experiments

This lesson plan is a great way to teach students about Newton’s Third Law of Motion. It has students create their own rocket by combining baking soda and vinegar to create a chemical reaction. The reaction causes the container to propel across the floor. This lesson plan is a great way to teach students about how things move through space and also about the history of this idea. Also included is a data sheet for students to record their information on and also discussion questions for student to think about the experiment.
