This activity, based off of the website Scholastic, is a great learning tool for 3rd to 8th graders. What makes this link so great is there are multiple components that go into the activity – from hands on experiments to independent work. There’s also an interview with a scientist that seems like something kids would really enjoy and be motivated by. I think this would be best used in a classroom as a supplement during a unit on Earth Science and would be very beneficial to all the students learning.
