Lewis and Clark Studies – Activities for Students

Are you teaching your students about Lewis and Clark and looking for activities that will further their understanding on this topic? This website has a long list of suggested activities and projects that you could have your students complete that would give them a deeper understanding of Lewis and Clark and their expedition. Many of the activities ask students to apply parts of Lewis and Clark’s experiences to their own lives, such as keeping a detailed journal of events in their daily lives just as Lewis and Clark had to keep a detailed journal while on their expedition. One of my favorite activities from the list on this website is having students think of the 3 most important things they would bring with them if they had been invited to join the expedition. Overall, this page is a great resource for teachers who are looking for activities for their students to dig deeper into Lewis and Clark!
