Third Grade Human Biology

This resource is helpful for third graders teachers who wish to create unit plans with activities on the human body. The resource is broken down into comparing the organ systems, the external signs of internal systems, describing each organ in the human body, five senses, and in depth about the digestive system. Also, the resource includes vocabulary for each day, materials, diagrams of organs, data, observations, and critical thinking questions of the human body. One unique aspect of this reference is the human biology research study that the third graders will investigate on a certain organ in the body. Some of the other activities in the two-week unit are using a diagram to label the parts of the body and describing the particular organ. I would recommend this source if the students have never learned about the human body and allow the students to critically think about the parts of the body and how they function.
