Energy Resources

Using models and animations, this website showcases simple explanations of the following concepts: energy stored, energy transfer, and energy dissipation. The image for “energy stored” could be printed out and given to students as a diagram to copy or pasted into their science notebooks as a guide throughout this unit. For the “energy transfer”, the diagram could be displayed on a SMARTboard, if the classroom allows, as the teacher goes through each letter and explains the different types of energy. With the animation for “energy dissipation”, students could view this virtually or they could actually try this out during class with pool ball and pool stick. The explanations underneath each image serve as a guide for teachers, yet can be easily understood by students as well.
