Brain Pop! Electric Circuits

Brain Pop is not only a resource for students but also teachers. The videos are fun and engaging and they always have to main characters, Tim and Moby. Most Brain Pop videos are on YouTube, therefore teachers and students do not have to pay for access to the video. In this four-minute video, Tim and Moby discuss Electrical Circuits. Tim and Moby get a letter from a “student” in Niskayuna, New York, who asks, “What is an electric circuit made of?” Tim and Moby explain how circuits are a way of routing electricity along a path. They explain that negatively charged particles in an atom, electrons, move around, and that is what causes electricity. Static electricity, insulators, electric currents, wires, power sources, and power outlets are all terms discussed in the video.
