Road to Revolution Game

The Road to Revolution Game is something that I found on the PBS website. It is a great activity to include in a ‘Revolutionary War’ unit. The introduction to the game explains that the aim is to test knowledge about the Revolutionary War. As you answer each question, you move closer to ‘independence’. The path begins in Boston as the game begins asking questions about events that took place in Boston. The game sort of moves through a timeline asking questions about different acts, groups, and more- all while explaining each along the way. You need to get the questions correct in order to continue. The game ends in Washington DC.

Personally, I would have students use this as a review toward the end of a unit, maybe in preparation for a quiz or test. Total, the game takes about 20 minutes to complete. Even for a teacher, it could be a good review!
