Globalization for Kids

Globalization is a way to be global, worldwide, international, intercontinental. While internationalization has inclined to refer to the process, today globalization has become identified with a number of trends, most of which have been particularly evident in the period since World War II.”

This webpage has the most accurate description of what globalization is for children that I have seen in any other website. Globalization is an extremely wide, vast topic that covers many different sub categories. This big umbrella term is what my fifth graders are in the midst of learning right now. From this website, we can click on the different links to learn more about that subcategory. For example, if you click on the link for promotion of free trade, you will be lead to a page that will explain what free trade is, all in terms that kids will understand and can use to build their knowledge in a given topic.
