Mars Colony using a pedagogical way to teaching science

This article focuses on teaching kindergartners and first graders science by using role play. During role play they go through different phases of the exploration trip to mars, each section providing significance in their learning. In order to create this lesson plan they used the backward-design approach. This is a great new way to embody teaching children at a young age because it allows them to have purposeful play.
