Bones in our Body

Our body is made up of muscles, ligaments, joints, organs, and many more things. One of the most important parts of our bodies are our bones. Bones are any of the pieces of hard, whitish, calcified tissue making up the skeleton in humans and other vertebrates. Our bones can be strong or really fragile depending on their development and placement in the body. This website is a good reinforcement for after the students are taught the bones in their body. The site is an interactive model of a skeleton. Students can either label the different bones in the body or construct a body using their knowledge to place the bones in the correct places. This would also be a wonderful class activity to do on the SMART board.
