Below, is a link to Sky Live where students can virtually see what where the Moon, Sun, Earth, various constellations, comets and the other planets are right now in the sky. Students could use this to keep track of phases of the moon because the teacher can set the virtual sky to the location and exact time you need. It also tells you where Earth is in position of other objects. The neat things is you can travel forward and backward in time as well. One other thing that students can do with Sky Live is that they can clik on current sky map of whatever object they are on and they will virtually be placed n the surface of the object.
So not only can you tack the phases of the moon nightly but you can track where planets are orbiting or soon to be, so during the day students can track where the planets and stars are.
